Abba Ali

Abba Ali is a Nigerian businessman, educator and politician who was the headmaster of the Rafindadi Primary School, Katsina in 1983. He was also a senator of the Federal Republic during the second democratic dispensation from 1979-1983.

He currently serves as the Katsina state chairman of the Action Congress.


Ali was born around 1940 in Katsina and was educated at Katsina Central Primary School, Malunfashi Senior Primary School, and also at the Senior Primary School, Katsina. He then went to the Katsina Teacher Training College from 1956-1966.

In the 1970s, he served as the chairman of the Katsina Local Government and today, he is a neighbor of current President Umaru Yar'Adua. He also served as president of the Katsina Chamber of Commerce.
