Abba Sadiq Sanda was Waziri of Borno and was a former member of the Nigerian House of Representatives from 1954 into the first republic. He was also district head of Gubio and Magumeri.
He served as the chairman of the Kanuri Language Board's orthography committee which was involved in the creation of a bilingual Kanuri dictionary.
Life
Sadiq was born to a prominent Bornu family, his father was Muhammed El Amin (alias Baba). Sadiq attended the Bornu Provincial School and then went to Katsina Training College. From 1933-1954, he was a teacher at the Bornu Middle School. In 1954, he became a member of the House of Representatives.
