Baba Daradara was a notable Kano politician during the Nigerian first republic and was the treasurer of the Kano branch of the Northern People's Congress (NPC). Along with Abdulkadir Koguna and Rilwanu Abdullahi, they contested a keenly watched Kano provincial president election of the NPC in 1958 after the resignation of Maikano Dutse. In the 1950s, he was an assistant treasurer and accountant with the Kano Native Authority.
Daradara was educated at Shahuci Elementary School and Kano Middle School. He then joined the staff of the Native Authority as an accountant and later served as chief cashier, supervisor and chief accountant.
