Babatunde Lawal

Babatunde Lawal is an art historian known for his writings on Yoruba aesthetics, Gelede, sango sculptors and noteworthy historical topics on Yoruba art. He was formerly head of the Fine Art department of Obafemi Awolowo University before moving to the Virginia Commonwealth University.

Lawal earned his bachelors degree from the University of Nigeria.
