Bayo Adeyinka

Adebayo Adeyinka (1922) is a Nigerian politician from Ibadan, who was a member of the Federal House of Representatives during the pre-independence period of Nigeria. He was also an official of the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons, {NCNC}.


Adebayo Adeyinka was born on November 18, 1922, to the family of Mr and Mrs Adekanmbi Adeyinka. He attended Onistsha Central School, the Baptist School, Issele-Uku and Onitsha African High School. After completing his studies, he joined the Army and served during World War 2 (1942-1946). He was posted to Sierra Leone, Ghana and Burma during the period. He left the army in 1946 and joined a labor union in Nigeria, later in his career, he was an official on labor matters for the N.C.N.C.

During the 1950s, he was an elected representative of Ibadan Central district in the House of Representatives.
