Benjamin Afolabi Ajayi is a Nigerian educator and politician who was chairman of the Ekiti Southern District Council from 1959-1960 and later represented Ekiti South East in the first republic House of Representatives.
Prior to entering politics, he followed many notable pioneering Ekiti politicians by starting his career in teaching.
He received a B.A. from Fourah Bay College in 1950.
He served as a vice principal of Christ School, Ado-Ekiti in the 1950s and was president of the Ekiti Progressive Union from 1954-1959. After the end of the democratic first republic, he served as a commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy affairs in the administration of former student, Adeyinka Adebayo and was a commissioner during the Agbekoya crisis.
