Daniel Fafunmi

Daniel Adeyemi Fafunmi was an Egbado Chief from Ilaro who was the secretary of the Egbado Union in the 1940s and was a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives in the 1950s. He was an early student of Western education in the region and parlayed it into a relatively successful career as an educator, acting as headmaster of a few schools including principal of a Lagos archdeaconry teachers training center.

He was from Ilaro, an old Dahomey region prior to colonial rule. He was educated at St Andrews College, Oyo and Holy Trinity, Ebute Ero.
