David Okim Enang was a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives for the Obura division during the Nigerian pre-liberation period and the first republic.
He was born in Apiapom, Cross River State and attended C.M.S. School, Ikom, he was a correspondence student of Bennett College, Sheffield. During the Second World War, he was a company sergeant Major in the royal West African force. In 1951, he joined the Eastern House of Assembly and a year later served as the chairman of the Obura Division Council.
During the Nigerian second republic, he was a state vice chairman of the National Party of Nigeria and was a member of the Local Government Service Commission in Calabar.
