Erhabor Emokpae

Erhabor Emokpae was a Nigerian sculptor from the artistic rich city of Benin, a city known for its bronzes depicting palace life.

In many of his artistic works, Emokpae dwells on themes of dualism, a topic with roots to his upbringing in family with a Muslim mother and an atheist father, while he attended Catholic school. (1) Emokpae later attended the Yaba Institute of Technical where he learned the commercial aspects of art.
