Francis Mbadiwe

Francis Obi Mbadiwe was a Nigerian businessman and politician who was a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives in the 1950s.

Mbadiwe was born on April 6, 1906 to the family of Mbadiwe Odum and he is a brother of first and second republic politician K.O. Mbadiwe. He attended Arochuku Government School; later in his life, he was a major figure behind the establishment of the New Bethel College, Onitsha. A company director and entrepreneur, he established a firm, F.O. Mbadiwe and Sons and was a director of the African Development Corporation and the Dayspring Hotel. After his death in the late 50s, his seat at the House of Representatives was later occupied by C.C. Onoh after winning a bye election.
