Aliyu Makaman Bida (1905) was a prominent Nigerian politician of Nupe hertige who was Minister of Education and Finance in the Northern region of Nigeria in the 50s and 60s. During the second republic, he became a major backer of the dominant National Party of Nigeria.
He was also a founding member of the Northern People's Congress and was once the party's treasurer. Prior to joining politics, he worked as a teacher and later as an headmaster at Niger Middle School. In 1942, he joined the Bida Native Authority as a councillor and was later elected into the Legislative Council and the Northern House of Assembly.
