Malam Ja'afaru was a titled traditional Nigerian ruler who was emir of Zaria between 1937 and 1959. In 1942, he was a member of a committee to decide on the question of admission of Africans to many other posts in the administrative service. From 1952-1956, he served as a regional minister without portfolio.
Ja'afaru was a noted Islamic scholar and was district head of Kataf before becoming emir.
