Othman Abdullahi was a member of the Federal House of Representatives during the first republic. He was from Musawa, a small town in the old Katsina division and was prominent in various community affairs affecting the town. In 1950, he became the village head of Musawa and was a member of the Musawa Cooperative Society.
Abdullahi was born to the family of Othman Liman, a former chief whip in the Northern regional assembly and Sarkin Musawa. He was educated at Katsina Primary School and Katsina Middle School. He worked for the Katsina Native Authority and was a district scribe for Bakori and Malumfashi.
