Usman Maitambari is a Nigerian politician from Birnin Kebbi who was a parliamentary secretary for Works and Survey in the 1950s. He was later appointed a minister of state for Commerce in the government of Tafawa Balewa.
Maitambari was born in April 1917 to the family of Dikko Maitambari. He later married Mairamu, the daughter of the Madakin of Sokoto. He was educated at the Sokoto Middle School and the Katsina Higher College. He then worked with the veterinary dept before moving to the Sokoto Native Authority's agric dept rising to the post of supervisor of agriculture. In 1954, he became the chief scribe of the Gwandu Native Authority.
