Usmanu Maitambari

Usmanu Maitambari was a Nigerian minister of state in the first republic. He was also a member of the House of Representatives representing central Gwandu. Prior to becoming minister, he was chief scribe at the Gwandu Native Authority, (1954) and parliamentary secretary of the Federal Ministry of Works and Surveys.

Early life

Maitambari was born in April, 1917 to the family of Arabo Abdulkadir. He attended Birnin Kebbi Primary School, Sokot Middle School, and the Katsina Higher College. He then worked with the Government Veterinary and Agriculture Dept before becoming scribe in Gwandu.
