Joseph Ohiare (d 2006) was a Nigerian history scholar who was a dean of the faculty of Arts, University of Abuja.

He was also a director of University of Abuja's Center For Distance Learning and Continuing Education and has written notes on the history of Ebira land and the textile industry in Nigeria.
