Michael Chukwubuike was a member of the Nigerian senate in the first republic.

He was born in Amoji Nenwe and attended St John's Catholic School, Mgbowo. He received a teaching certificate and subsequently picked up teaching. His first major political duty was serving as a member of the Awgu District Council from 1949-1951. He also owned a firm, Goodwill stores.
