He was also a member of the Northern Nigeria House of Assembly in the early 1960s. [edit] LifeRufai was born on August 12, 1919. He attended Misau Elementary School, Bauchi Middle School, (1928-1936) and Kaduna College. He also went to the Samaru, Zaria College of Agriculture. In the 1950s, he worked in the Northern Nigeria civil service as an agriculture specialist and later became a loan officer with the Northern Region Development Corporation.
