Ibrahim Tako

Ibrahim Tako Galadima was a Nigerian politician from Bida who was a member of the Nigerian first republic parliament where he served as a parliamentary secretary in the ministry of Defense. He was later appointed minister of state, in charge of the Army.

In January, 1966, he was the acting minister of defense during Nigeria's first military coup.

Ibrahim Tako was born in Bida to Aliyu Galadima. He graduated from the Niger Middle School in 1933 and proceeded to the Katsina Higher College. In 1951, he went abroad to study at Exeter University. From 1938-1944, he was a teacher at the Bida Middle School before joining the Bida Native Authority as Chief Scribe.
