Jonathan Safeyimi Olayeye was a Nigerian senator from the Okitipupa area during the Nigerian first republic. He also served as the chairman of the Okitipupa Divisional Native Authority.
Olayeye was born in Okitipupa to a local chief, the petu of Idepe-Okitipupa. He received primary education from St Mary the Virgin Primary School and later attended C.M.S. Grammar School, Lagos. From 1923-1927, he was an headmaster of a primary school in Igbotako, Ondo state, he then worked as a tax clerk and treasurer in the Okitipupa Native Authority. In 1954, Olayeye became a member of the Federal House of Representatives. While there, he was a member of the House committee on Finance and Public accounts.
