Muhammad Salga

Muhammad Salga (1871-1938) was an Islamic cleric and scholar who was imam of a Kano mosque, succeeding a North African cleric, Mohammed Alami. He had a reputation as a learned teacher and Sufi scholar.

Salga was born to a trader father, Umaru Katsina in Salaga, Ghana. He is originally of Beriberi and Bornu ancestry.
