Pius Ogu Nwoga was a Nigerian educator and politician from Umuokrika, Mbaiseland who was prominent in the political affairs of Mbaise during the pre-liberation and liberation period. In 1953, he was elected into the Eastern House of Assembly, representing Mbaise North. While in the assembly, he served as the parliamentary secretary to the minister of Education. He later served as the regional minister of Town Planning in the 1960s.
Early life and education career
Nwoga was educated at St Patrick's Catholic School, Ekwerazu and later in his life served as the president of the Ekwerazu Assembly. He also received education at the Rural Education Center and went on to become a teacher and administrator of schools.
