Sam Ayo-Vaughn

Sam Ayo-Vaughn is a Nigerian journalist who once served as an acting general manger of the Western Nigeria Television Service. Prior to joining the electronic media, he worked in print, starting as a pioneer staff of the Nigerian Tribune in 1949. He joined the Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation in the 1950s, and was later one of the major parliamentary reporters covering proceedings of the House of Representatives. In the 1960s, he was the head of news at WNTS, where he fought to uphold the integrity of the news which led him into conflicts with the authorities.
