Samuel Idigo

Samuel Idigo was an Aguleri chief who who left his traditional beliefs and accepted the Christian message of missionaries in the late nineteenth century. He was one of the earliest titled chiefs or noblemen to accept Christianity. After, converting and leaving his traditional title, he re-settled at a new Christian village a few miles away from Aguleri where new converts were welcomed.(1)
