Umaru Oboni

Umaru Ameh Oboni was an Atta of Igala who was deposed in 1956 by the colonial authorities and later died of suicide in Dekina where he was dispatched to. He was coronated Atta in 1946. Prior to holding the title, he was a district head and councilor.

Oboni was born to the Igala royal house of Oboni. He worked as a scribe and rent collector and as Atta, was a member of the Northern House of chiefs and was also known for the potent charms he made.
