Gabriel Adeyemi

Gabriel Babatunde Adeyemi was a Nigerian politician who was a member of the Western House of Assembly representing a district in Ekiti. He was also trader and timber merchant.

Life

Gabriel was born in 1919 to the family of Mr and Mrs James Adeyemi. He attended Methodist School, Oyo from 1927-1932 and Christ's School, Ado Ekiti. He then started work as pupil teacher in 1936. Subsequently, he left the teaching profession to work as a clerk and then as a salesman. He also joined the Ekiti political arena, as an official member of the Ekiti Divisional Council. In 1956, he was elected into the Western House of Assembly.
