Samuel Eyitayo was a Nigerian politician who served as a councilor in the Oyo Southern District. He was a member of the Western House of Assembly from 1951-1956 and later served as a member of the first republic senate.
Life
Eyitayo was born in October, 1908 in llora near Oyo to the family of Ogungbade Dada. He went to Baptist Day Schools at Isokun and Oke Saje. He then proceeded to the Baptist School, Oyo and the Baptist College, Ogbomosho and later received a teaching certificate in 1930. From 1931-1934, he was a teacher at Baptist schools before becoming a school administrator at the Ilora Baptist School. Prior to his appointment as a senator, he was the headmaster of the Baptist Central School, Ife.
